Account

To delete your account, go to the Settings page (the cog icon in the bottom icon row) and then select My Profile. On the bottom of that page, there is a button “Delete Account”.

NB! This will delete your account and data permanently!

Absolutely! Just send an email to support@maintaid.com and we’ll take care of it.

Data

No, your houses, equipments, actions, action history and links are stored safely in the cloud and will be downloaded if you install the app on a new device and login with the same credentials. The only things that are locally stored are background images and Economic Overview settings.

Yes. To sync manually, just press, hold and pull down any list view (for example the to-do list or the equipment list), and the app will synchronize the local data with the cloud. If the other person then does the same, the app will pull down the latest changes from the cloud server.

Of course! Just send an email to support@maintaid.com and clearly describe what you want and we’ll send you an email with all your links, so that you can download them and store offline. In the email, please also write your username (the email address you use to log in).

Don’t worry! Just send an email to support@maintaid.com and clearly describe what you want us to restore. Please also give us your username (the email address you use to log in).

Yes, in several ways. First, you can send an action to a printer and get a hard copy or send it as an SMS. It’s also absolutely ok to share a login (user id) within the family. The app will keep the data in sync for all of you between all your devices.

Scheduling

At any given time, there are only a certain amount of action occurences scheduled (the amount of occurences within one year, maximum 10). The schedule constantly updates, so your todo list will always be accurate.

If you change the schedule from, for example monthly to quarterly on the 16th of May, the coming actions will be scheduled for the 16th. If you want to spread out the workload more, just change the starting date on the Action properties screen and the actions will be scheduled from that date, moving forward.

Yes, you can. Just open the action and press “Edit” and then change the Starting date. If you are on the Todo screen, you first need to click on the action’s name to go to the action properties screen. You can also save the action to your device’s calendar and do as you please with that calendar entry (and mark the MaintAid action as completed).

Click the middle button in the button row to go to the equipment view, and then the yellow half-circle to open the equipment list.

The economic overview consists of two charts that will give you information about the age/remaining lifetime of your equipment and what the current value (Actual Cash Value) is per equipment item, and when you can “expect” to have to buy replacement equipment.
[oc_spacer height=”25px”]
When the device is in portrait mode, you will see a pie diagram showing the equipment’s age in red and remaining lifetime in green. The Actual Cash Value is calculated based on the purchase price you have set on the equipment and the rules for deduction defined in the Financial Overview settings.
[oc_spacer height=”25px”]
In landscape mode, the bar chart shows what year a replace equipment will be needed (based on the lifetime settings), and this is also summarized on the last row for all your equipment. The purpose of the chart is to give you an idea of the size of investments in the years to come, to keep your home in shape. The replacement value also takes the inflation rate into consideration, and you can define this in the settings.

The Financial Overview settings allow you to, per equipment type, define the parameters that control the charts. By default, these parameters are set to Swedish insurance standards, with the expected lifetime and deduction rules the insurance companies in Sweden normally apply. You should of course change these settings to match your insurance policy. There is also a switch called “Used in Economic Overview” that controls whether the equipment type is included in the charts, or not.

Go to Settings – My Houses. Open a house and click Edit. You can now select a nice image from your albums or take a new one with your camera.
